12th Grade Research
My senior year research project was an extension of one that I conducted last year. This year, the goal of my research project was to determine the effectiveness of Baicalin supplementation on cGAMP levels within drosophila with Huntington's Disease. Below, I have attached my background, ED, data, and results that have been attained through my research. This year, I was able to develop many skills such as time management, and use my expertise from last year to plan accordingly so that I'm able to conduct my research efficiently with great success. This helped me build on skills I had learned from last year.

As of now (4/2), I have finished all data collection and have obtained results that are displayed. My Mann-Whitney U statistical analysis will be conducted within the following weeks and will be updated as well into the portfolio
Overall, I was content with my research project this year. I believe I challenged myself and was able to rely on my previous knowledge to make the project a success. Though I have not formed full conclusions yet regarding the success rate of the treatment, by visually looking at the data, it can be seen and hypothesized that the treatments were effective in lowering neurodegeneration through a decrease in cGAMP
